MILES DEAN, A NEW JERSEY TEACHER, IS RIDING FROM NEW YORK TO LOS ANGELES. HE’S TRYING TO UNDERLINE THE IMPACT OF AFRICANS AND AFRICAN-AMERICANS TO THE EXPLORATION, EXPANSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF AMERICA. HE’S ALTERNATING BETWEEN TWO HORSES TO MAKE THE TRIP. THEY’RE FINDING THE MOUNTAINS A TOUGH RIDE.
